Risk Associates received accreditation as an Affiliated Assessment Service Entity (ASE) by the World Lottery Association (WLA)
Gaming Associates Europe Ltd (Gaming Associates) sister company Risk Associates Europe Ltd (Risk Associates), which is a UKAS accredited ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 certification body that can provide assessment and certification of Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), especially within the online gaming and payment card industry. We are pleased to announce that we can now offer World Lottery Association’s Security Control Standard (WLA-SCS) assessments to our lottery and internet sports betting clients through our subsidiary company.
The WLA has recently released the seventh edition of its security standard, WLA-SCS:2020, which features new controls for lottery technology suppliers, the use of cloud hosting for lottery gaming systems, as well as controls for privacy and application security. The standard also couples a comprehensive information security management baseline incorporating ISO/IEC 27001 with additional lottery-specific security controls representing current best practice.
The security and integrity of lottery and sports betting activities play a significant role in retaining clients’ trust and confidence in the industry. The World Lottery Association requires that every lottery, sports betting operator, and gaming organizations seeking association with WLA must develop and maintain a visible and documented security  environment.
